It's been over a year, and so much has changed since we last spoke, but not how proud I am to call you my father.

I tried to write this yesterday but I closed the book and filled the day with thoughts of you. I visited the last place we met and had a beer and I drank one for you and of course one for me. 

Needless to say you were the greatest friend anyone could ever be blessed with. You were a true guardian and protector of us all. God knew what he was doing when he built you in his own image.

Your laugh, your smile, your humor, your big hugs still ring through.

Thank you for sharing so much with us.

Bryan, you are greatly missed and loved.  Your heroic gifts of life will forever be an inspiration to us all.  I'm so very proud to be your sister.

Bryan...Today it has been one year since your passing and I wanted to say how much you are missed by all.  The story of your life was written on your heart and it was  a love letter to all of us. We didnt understand fully your impact upon us until you went Home to be with the Lord. The pain, disappointments and the triumphs all had a purpose.  All was uniquely sewn together for a divine purpose. You finished your race strong and successful because you did what you alone were called to do...So proud of you, my Son!

Your laughter still echoes in my heart and the memory of your hugs still warm my soul.  Knowing you changed my life in so many ways and I am forever grateful.  Thank you for being my best friend and hero.  We always said, “I'm not going anywhere without you”. I can still hear your voice saying those words time and time again over this past year. Thinking about on this very special day.  Wish I could see you blow out your birthday candles in Heaven.  Although we aren't together today, we will be one day. Until then I will celebrate your memory and make a wish to see you again.

I was pondering what to say for your   Birthday when I remembered finding a little box with your diaper pin and a note inside that you wrote at a young age.  You wrote "My gift to Jesus will be to come back to His Holy House".  That day you passed, not only did Jesus receive the Gift of your Spirit back but you left us and others the gift of love to pass on.  I choose to celebrate your birthday with joyful memories today.                   Tessia and I love you, Mom

Thinking of the Schriner and Hodgens family during the Thanksgiving holiday. Joanne, thank you for bringing such a wonderful son into this world. Tessia, you are truly blessed to have such an amazing father.  He has always been so proud of you.  Although our time with him was so short, we are so thankful this holiday season for all the time we had with him.  No amount of time with Bry would have ever been long enough. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joanne, Don and Tess as we remember Bryan on his birthday.  We want to remember his positive influence on family and friends while living and after he passed away.  We love you all.

Remembering Bryan who was able to give a most wonderful gift to so many people as he started his journey to Heaven.  I think about the magnitude of such a legacy to have donated happiness to so many.  God Bless Bryan. Thinking of you on your birthday.

Today marks the third month since your passing and I just wanted to say how much we still miss you.  I especially miss your hugs and text messages. It gives me peace knowing that you are free from pain and suffering and you are happy.

Happy Father's Day to the greatest best friend and father I have ever known, Bryan Schriner. Mary and I will love you forever and never forget the memories we shared. Thank you for always being there in so many ways. As we move forward in our lives we will remember your words, "Don't lose FAITH" and "We will survive and be stronger for it." It's been two months today since your passing and it just seems like yesterday that all of this happened.  Your poems have certainly lifted me up and hope they

He was way too young to shockingly leave us this way.  His gift of life is Bryan all the way!  We'll miss him at all family gatherings.  I recall him working so hard to keep his grandmother's roof clean of leaves and was so consciencious, he cleaned all the bushes he has brushed leaves off to have land, perhaps smothering them.  When he got "on a roll" he could do a thousand one-liner jokes to keep you in stitches.

Received a letter from Carolina Donor Services today expressing their sympathy for all of Bryan's family. They consider it a privilege to help honor Bryan's unselfish
decision to be a donor. This decision has given new life and hope to individuals who were in need of a miracle of medicine to occur. The magnitude and extent of
Bryan's gifts cannot be measured.  His heart has blessed a father with two 
children, his liver to a single mom with four children, and his kidney to a father 
with two children.There will be numerous surgical procedures through his gift of
tissue donation..  All of the individuals who have benefited from Bryan's act of kindness have expressed their sympathy but also their thankfulness for their
gift of hope and life.You were a blessing in our lives and you continue to bless 
others as well even now.  We love you and miss you. Your family!

You were a true guardian. You always gave to others at your own expense and never asked for anything in return. At times your sacrifices were too much. I thank you for all of the time that you shared and the strong shoulder and patient ear that you gave to me in my most difficult times. I was so happy when we reconnected and could hangout again; it was nice to have you back in my life. Thank you for letting me be there for you too. Your kindness and selflessness always amazed me. I knew God lived within you.

We remember back to Honeysuckle Ln. and how shy and quiet Bryan was when we saw him at his Grandmothers house. But he grew up,still quiet and reserved ,became a man, had a lovely daughter Tess. We pray the family will take encouragement from the memories they all have and remember the good times. We have Hope that we will all meet again,  If we have put our trust & faith in Jesus Christ. May His peace be on you through these difficult times.

Even though I had not seen Bryan in a long time-- his mother, grandmother, cousins and family have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. God Bless the ones still with us and may God comfort you all as you remember the good times you had with Bryan. I am so sad to hear this news, and my heart goes out to you all.
