So sorry to hear this. Went to middle school with Brad Knight. Always a gentleman and a scholar.

I am so sad to learn of Brad's passing. There are so many memories of my life on Cleveland Street that include him, it's almost as if I can see him standing across the street from me waving from his gate with that big, infectious smile right now! Brad and I followed each other through the same schools, one year behind each other, from elementary school to college. He was my friend and although we had lost touch, I thought of him often. He will be missed, but heaven has received a smile that will bring cheer to the angels. Rest in peace my friend. You are in my prayers.

Bradford was my last Supervisor prior to my retirement with the Dept of Corrections. We spent many days just doing the job that we were there to do and to never let it stress you. We laughed, we joked, we clowned. We had fun, good fun. It was supervisors like him that made you look forward to coming to work everyday and not worry about the nature of the stressful job itself. Since retirement, I stayed in communication with him. Glad that we were able to do that. I’m gonna miss his laughter, his sarcasm, his whit and his heart. He was a good man. My prayers and most heartfelt condolences go out to his entire family. 

Brad and I recently reconnected and literally picked up where we had left off. We both played basketball and shared music. I remember when he first came to school with the latest album by Kool and the Gang, “Light of the World”, with “Summer Madness” was an anthem.   He was one of my closest friends at Stuyvesant High School (Class of ‘75) ... his nickname at Stuyvesant was CHEESE, because just like a “Cheshire Cat” he had a real devilish grin all the time... Love you my Brother and I wish you eternal Rest In Peace...🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️

My condolences to all of Brad's loved ones. Brad was a childhood friend that was dear to my heart. He was the nicest,  smartest, cheeriest person. I spoke to him recently and I'm shocked to hear he's gone. He had a great impact on my life and he will truly be missed and never forgotten. God Bless you all!

I met Brad when I was assigned to the Brooklyn House of Detention in the very early 90's. My first impression of Brad was he is good man, fun loving, fantastic sense of humor and a great Officer. 

We became good friends and used to play basketball with and against each other every Wednesday for a few years, he was very quick, had hops, and his left hand shot was excellent. When I played with him it was a joy having a great teammate, but when I played against him, it was a lot of work. 

I miss him greatly, my son and daughter who used to watch us play basketball when they were very young, loved Brad's jokes and his kind manner, they too are saddened by his passing. 

To Brad's family, friends and co-workers, my family and I send you our deepest condolences. Brad is in God's hands now. 

OMG May the lord our GOD bless the family with peace during this time. I remember Captain Knight from the BING (punitive segregation) at OBCC at the NYCDOC. He was always working in his office with some HIP music and coffee. I learned a lot  from him . He truly knew how to make the inmates move!!

I met Brad when we were in the Academy 2003 to become Correction Captains. Great guy. Nice personality and very good Captain liked to have a good time turning up. RIP MY FRIEND. 

I lost a good friend of February 7th 2021.  I met   Cheese when I moved on Cleveland street in East New York Brooklyn Around 1970 or 1971. We became  good friends we grew up together we hung out together  I will miss him but he will never be forgotten Crazy 8 forever. SIP Brother.

Bradford A.k.A cheese, we met in 1966 became good friends like listen to music play basketball and party with all of friends well let me say brothers the crazy eight we thought those good days would never end we all grew up Brooklyn  we all made something out of our lives and we made it somewhere down the road we Took different paths got got separated but now and then we will talk and laugh joke joke my brother cheese we’ll meet up again one day You’ll definitely be missed

Knight was my great friend for over 20 plus years.  He loved his music.  We use to go to Cafe WHA  and listen to the jam sessions. He was a mentor to me when I  joined   Corrections and influenced me to go to OBCC. The best career advice I was given .  I'm going to really miss you brother.  Love you always your brother Dre.

To the family I pray that our father in heaven heals your hearts. He was a great Captain and funny. Great to work with no bad words about him. Rest peacefully Captain. 

Although it’s been many years since we’ve spoke, I always remember the days working with you. A true gentleman and always considered a true friend. R.I.P. Captain Bradford Knight.

I remember Brad during the youth of my life.  He added joy and laughter during our teen and young adult lives.  My memories of Brad are full with fun times, bike rides to the beach and parties and time he shared with our family as he was my brother’s best friend.  He was intelligent and witty .  I loved the way he could come to our home and make my mom smile like none other.  Heaven will love the spirit he brings .  Though time has passed by Brad never left our conversations when reminiscing of our youth. He was a part of the band of Black Brothers called the “ Crazy eight”. I know they hold a special place in their hearts for Brad.  Brad would just refer to me as  a little sister and  was always  kind and nice to me.  I can honestly say my life was better because I knew him .

My condolences to the entire Knight family. I pray that you have solace knowing that Bradford is resting well. My fondest memory of Bradford is when we were both promoted to Captain. Bradford was a kind and gentle man. May peace be with his family, friends and all who loved him. My deepest sympathy.

Today I feel like I lost a brother. I meet Brad in Gershwin JHS in 1970. We spent the next 3 years together in the same class. The memories are countless. I can only hope and pray that God gives his family the strength to endure this difficult time. RIP my Brother!

Mr Knight was one of my supervisor’s, he always had a smile on his face, even if he came to give you some news you don’t want to hear, that coffee cup in his hand all the time, i never heard him yell, may you sleep in eternal peace my friend,  my sincere condolences and prayers go out to his family.

I worked with Captain Knight when we were Captains at RNDC on Rikers Island. What a cool brother he was. We didn’t work together long, as he was transferred, but he definitely made an impression on me in the short time we worked together. Condolences to the family and God Bless Bradford Knight.

I worked with Brad as an Officer in Brooklyn House and then as Captains in another facility. He was always someone who marched to his own drum and was the master negotiator. He will definitely be missed but never forgotten. On behalf of his Correction family we thank rhe Knight family for sharing him with us. Blessings and Salute Brother Brad.
