

Bradford was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 1st, 1957. In 1975, he graduated from Stuyvesant High School in New York City. He studied computer science at North Carolina State University.
Bradford worked as a corrections officer for The New York City Department of Corrections for 23 years. He retired with the rank of Captain in April of 2011. Music was something Brad truly loved. He enjoyed music genres like jazz, classic soul, funk, R&B, and classic rock. He also enjoyed sports, especially basketball. He spent a great deal of his time reading dictionaries, learning as many words as he could, and prided himself on having an extensive vocabulary.
Bradford Knight is survived by his children: Bradford Aaron Knight, Kristin Knight, Amber Knight, and Brandon Knight; his former spouses Karen Haynes and Lisette Eure; his sister Deborah Barriere; brother Warren Sherrod; nieces and nephews Ali Barriere, Alicia Barriere, Angelica Barriere, and Ari Barriere; aunt Georgeanne Ingram; cousins Terry Knight, Natalie Knight McMillan and other family and friends.
Bradford is preceded in death by his mother Alice Knight, his father Sandy Knight, and his brother Curtis Stewart.
The celebration of life will be held at 11:30 am on Sunday February 14,2021 at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh North Carolina. Raleigh Memorial Park will also be the location of Bradford's interment. A traditional repass will not be offered at this time so as to protect our loved ones from COVID 19. We look forward to a time in which we can further celebrate Brad's life.
