Betty Jane Bradley, 85, was welcomed into Heaven by our Lord on February 8, 2018. Waiting to greet her was her daughter Lori Ann Stenger. Betty was born in British Columbia, Canada, the daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie Mae Charbonneau. Betty is survived by her husband, Robert W. Bradley; son, Scott Bradley, his wife, Marie and Lori’s husband Chris Stenger; grandchildren, Jared Stenger, Alex Bradley, his wife Eleanor; great-grandchild Joshua Bradley.
Until Betty and her husband moved from Florida to North Carolina in 2015, they were long time members of the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island. She was actively involved in two of the church’s outreach programs: The House of Hope, a program for unwed mothers and unwed mothers-to-be, and the church’s prison ministry for women.
Betty loved to do arts and crafts, sew and paint. She was an excellent cook and won several baking competitions. She made over 60 jars of marmalade each year for gifts to friends and family.
She was and will continue to be greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Monday, February 12th at Morningside of Raleigh, 801 Dixie Trail, Raleigh, NC.
