Betsy was a graduate of St. Mary’s Jr. College and UNC and later became a teacher and educator. She attended Highland United Methodist Church and enjoyed bridge, the beach, her lake home, and her family.
Survivors include her husband Jack, whom she married June 14, 1958, sons, Randy Willis and wife Diane of Raleigh and Vail Willis and wife Tammy of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Justin Randolph, Caitlyn Elizabeth, and Austin Vail; and nephews Jones Fuquay and Dewey Fuquay and wife Delane and their children, Tyler and Cody.
Services will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 11 AM at Highland United Methodist Church, 1901 Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC. Family will receive friends on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
