Tony graduated from Rutherfordton-Spindale Central High School, Class of 1963. He graduated Wingate College and NC State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
Tony worked for many years at Eaton Corporation in Roxboro, NC, and was instrumental in the establishment of Dill Air Controls in Oxford, NC. He loved to travel, attend Southern Gospel Concerts, root for NC State Athletics, and watch his Hallmark movies. He is a member of Leesville Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jon Monfrado, and his wife of 43 years Kay Henson Monfrado. He will be missed by his wife Linda Geer Monfrado, Sons Scott Manfredo (Joan) , Rick (Sherrie) and Chuck (Michele) Geer, Grandchildren Canyon Monfrado & Julian Manfredo, Kaley & Brody Geer, Alex and Delaney Hollman.
A funeral service was held on Monday, August 1, 2022 in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Craig Gaither. A private entombment followed in Raleigh Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Dennis Berry, Colin Martin. Mike Geer, Bill Cox, Alan Moore, Larry Miller.
