Tony was employed by EMC Corporation as a test engineer. He was previously employed by Nortel Networks and was known as "Mr. Call Forward". His passions included his family, the cool mountain air, riding his motorcycle, and cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes. Tony was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9709 at St. Francis where he served as a Fourth Degree Knight and previous Grand Knight. Tony was often the "Life of the Party" with his laughter and playful shenanigans. He loved being "Dad" to his children. Tony was thrilled by their accomplishments, always having high hopes for their future happiness. He and Mary Kay worked together to explore and reveal their talents, always living with compassion and joy for all.
Tony graduated high school in his Junior year, and was a member of the National Honor Society. After high school, he served in the Marines Corps as a Tactical Air Control System technician, stationed in Camp Pendleton California. Following his honorable discharge, he attended college and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Computer Information Systems from North Carolina Wesleyan College.
Tony is predeceased by his parents Ethel Kreuscher Domino and Gasper Domino, daughter Maria Catherine Domino, two sisters Barbarann Domino and Rosemary Williams,brother James Domino, brother-in-law Larry Taylor and father-in-law Wayne Taylor.
Tony is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Domino; and his children, Nora and Joel Domino of the home. Also left to cherish his love and enduring happiness are his twin brother, Mike Domino (Connie); brothers, Tom Domino, Greg Domino (Carol), and John Domino; his mother-in-law, Mary Catherine Taylor; brother-in-laws, Gary Taylor (Cathy), Greg Taylor (Ginny), Doug Taylor (Holly); sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Taylor and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday December 16 at 3:00 pm at The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi, 11401 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613. The family will greet guests one hour before in the Gathering Room. A reception will be held immediately following inurnment at the church columbarium in the Founders' Room from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
