Evelyn later relocated to Boston, Massachusetts during the early 1980’s, where she furthered her education in nursing and worked at the Kidney Center, and lastly, at The Massachusetts General Hospital. Evelyn was passionate about her work and relentless in her pursuit of caring for the sick and everyone in general, as she did in her personal life. She felt that it was her job to save the world, and she expended the energy and herself tirelessly, to do so during her years of work and taking care of her family. One thing is to be said, she was the most selfless and giving person as it is known by all who really knew her.
In the very early 2000’s, and one year after her late and beloved husband passed due to unfortunate medical circumstances, Evelyn suffered a major stroke that would alter her life forever, causing her to remain ill since. Evelyn later faced many new challenges with, mobility, several smaller strokes and experienced multiple illnesses, requiring endless hospitalizations and proved to be very overwhelming throughout the years. She was last hospitalized on January 24th 2024, for complications experienced during her dialysis treatment. She remained hospitalized for 6 weeks and then transferred to a rehab. Her condition had slightly improved until her last Dialysis treatment on March 19, 2024. Evelyn experienced severe medical complications and was rushed to The South Shore Hospital, where they worked on her desperately. Evelyn succumbed to her illnesses at 2:19 a.m. on March 20, 2024, separating her from all the pain and illnesses that plagued her body for all these years.
