Albert Howard Smith Jr.

A. Howard Smith Jr entered Eternal Life on October 23, 2024 at South Shore Hospital after failing health at the age of 81. He was born in Quincy and lived in Quincy his whole life. A graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in civil engineering. Howard attended the First Presbyterian Church, Quincy. He liked to travel to Europe and across the U.S.A. and taking pictures. On October 23, 2024, Roberta was out doing errands, when she returned home she saw red and blue flashing lights in front of her house. She was there when Howard was taken to the hospital. By the time Roberta had arrived, Howard had passed away. Howards and Robertas life was full of travel, gardening & taking pictures. Howard would find an item or a place that he wanted to see and Roberta and he would look into and study the location and then plan a trip there. Howard loved setting up planters for growing a garden so they would have fresh vegetables. He also made furniture for his and Roberta's room. Beloved Son of the late Albert H. Smith and Catherine Smith. Loving brother of Roberta C Smith of Quincy. Also survived by many loving and caring friends and family. Visiting hours will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 270 Franklin St, Quincy, on Saturday November 2, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held on Monday at the Terrace Hill Cemetery, Walpole at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donation in Howards memory may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 270 Franklin St, Quincy, MA 02169 or to Crotched Mountain Foundation, 186 Granite St, Suite 3C, Manchester, NH 03101.
