Jeffrey Gerald Parr

Jeffrey Gerald Parr, 55, born March 27, 1956 in Tacoma, WA died unexpectedly on December 13, 2011 in Puyallup of kidney and liver failure. He graduated from Seattle University with a BA in English Literature and Theology, Summa Cum Laude, and embarked on a very successful career in the college publishing industry. Rising quickly to the position of Senior Marketing Manager with McGraw-Hill Publishing, Jeff continually set standards of excellence in all that he did. Jeff's love and strong commitment to his three sons Nicholas (24), Matthew (17), and Anthony (13) as well as his grandson Jack (4) was very self-evident. Jeff was blessed with a sharp wit, expansive view of society and business but his true following was his love and commitment to God and his family. His Catholic beliefs provided him with the purpose and love that kept him whole. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy Hoberg and Gerald Parr and his sister Terri Glover. He is survived by his boys, Nick, Matt and Tony, his former wife Jane, along with brothers and sister, Rick, Pam, Bob and Scott. Jeff’s friendship and love will be deeply missed His family wishes to send their sincere thanks to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup for the care and support they provided to Jeff and his family during the trying time. A Funeral Mass and celebration of his life will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, in Tacoma, WA, on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11 am.
