Patricia Wheeler of Pulaski, TN passed away on Monday, July 3, at NHC in Pulaski. She was born on September 26, 1934, and she was 88 years old.
Pat was born in Bunker Hill, TN to Mahlon and Lera Minatra McCracken. She and her husband John Walker (Booty) were lifelong members of the Church of Christ, being faithful members at the Lynnville, Cool Springs, and Stiversville congregations during their 60-year marriage. Pat loved working as a dental assistant for S.A. Garner, D.D.S. for 45 years, and valued the many relationships she built with the public. She and Booty also loved growing roses and cannas as a hobby at their home above Waco and Pat loved to sew. They supported their sons’ baseball for years.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Mahlon S. and Lera McCracken, along with four (4) brothers and sisters: Doris, Bernice, Valera, and Mahlon, Jr. (Buddy). She is also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Wheeler, Sr and daughter in law Kim Stiles Wheeler. She is survived by three (3) children, John, Jr. of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Janet Sullivan (Justin) of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, and Jim (Mary) of Kissimmee, Florida. Pat is survived by seven (7) grandchildren: Stephanie, Trey, Kay Lauren, Katy, Mallory, Steven, and Andrew, and she is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10am-12pm on July 7, 2023 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home in Pulaski. The funeral service will take place at 12pm, immediately after the visitation in the chapel of Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with. The burial will take place immediately after the funeral at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski.
