He was born in Diana, TN on February 10, 1924, served in the US Army during World War II, member of the First United Methodist Church for 63 years, member of the Morgan Stone Sunday School Class, member of American Legion, 65 years of service with Pulaski Fire Dept., worked at Genesco, Vultec in Nashville, Harwell Esso Station, White & Collins Grocery, worked for Oman and Cartwright Construction Companies, Pulaski Water & Sewer Dept., and retired from Heil Quaker in Lewisburg, TN.
Visitation will be on Sunday, 2-1-2015, from 2PM to 6PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, 1-2-2015, at 11AM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial in Maplewood Cemetery with military honors.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
Survivors are: sons, Danny Collins and wife Beverly, Don Collins and wife Gina all of Pulaski, TN, daughter, Cathy Collins of Pulaski, TN, sister, Becky Allen of Barnesville, Ohio, grandchildren, Stephanie Collins, Kim Miller & John, Dedi Kersey and Brian, great grandchildren, Grayson Miller, Derek Kersey and Gibson Miller.
