Peggy R. Fogel, 86, was born on Jan. 21, 1928, in Palo Alto, Calif., and died on Jan. 26, 2014, in Pueblo, where she lived since 1957. Peggy was the executive secretary of the Pueblo Medical and Dental societies for many years and served on the boards of the Pueblo Community Health Center and the Pueblo Library District. She graduated from Stanford University in 1947 with an AB in history. She was active in the League of Women Voters, the Junior League and the Own-Your-Own Art Show. She enjoyed cookbooks and mystery stories and was an avid Red Sox fan. She liked the opera, sewing, bicycling and new recipes. She loved to swim and last visited the Centura Rehabilitation pool on Jan. 17. Beloved daughter of Elliott and Kate Reid. Beloved mother of Karen Fogel (John Wright), Massachusetts; Carl Fogel, Pueblo; and Candice Haaga (Dave Haaga), Maryland. Beloved grandmother of Thomas Wright (Katie), New York; Catharine Wright, Washington, D.C.; Katie Haaga, Washington; and Megan Haaga, Massachusetts. Beloved by her basset hounds, Elliott and Moses.
