Patricio "Pat" Ernesto Casaus, of Pueblo, Sunrise 9-1-1936 ~ Sunset 5-17-2018 has gone home to his Lord, where he was met by his son Steven Casaus; granddaughter Janelle Garcia; sister Alice Casaus; brothers Richard “Ben” Casaus and Salvador “Chabo” Casaus; parents Pat and Lela Casaus; in-laws Geraldo Saiz and Pola Saiz; and many other relatives and friends.
Pat was a devout catholic, having been a member of Holy Family for 53 years. He enjoyed making everyone laugh with his crazy sense of humor. He loved kids, they were very drawn to him- even when he made them cry, they still came running for more. He loved nature and was an avid outdoorsman-he loved the outdoors almost as much as his wife and family. He retired from CF&I after over 40 years. Pat loved to whittle and carve, work on his yard, watch western movies, and he loved to dance. He never sat still.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Felipa "Phyllis" Casaus; brother Fred; sisters Alfie Salazar, Vera Finn, Lillian Romero, Dolores Montano, Elizabeth (Hank) Montelongo, Lorraine Gallegos, Lucille Salazar; sisters in law Mabel Casaus and Darlene Ontiveros; children Gerald Casaus, Alice Moore, George Casaus, Anita (Alvin) Walters, Nancy (Jess) Garcia, Robert Casaus, James (Amber) Casaus, Edwen (Rachel) Casaus; 25 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren- with one on the way; as well as numerous god children, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
A rosary will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Holy Family, with Pat's Mass of the Resurrection at 11am on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 with entombment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens Chapel of Angels.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Pat's honor to Sangre De Cristo hospice or to the Alzheimer's Association for his loving wife Phyllis.
The family would like to give a big thank you to Sangre De Cristo Hospice and to all the family and friends for their support and prayers that we have received these past few months.
