Michael A. Marino, 72, passed away on April 20, 2019. He was born on September 16, 1946. Preceded in death by his parents, Peno and Mary Marino; sister, Rosemary DeLuca; brother, Robert Marino; and nephew, Gary DeLuca. Survived by his wife, Sarah; son, Tony (Deborah) Marino; stepchildren, Tracey (Andy) Barela and Steve Hamm; grandchildren, Sara (Chad) Wheat, Drew (Mackenzie) Barela, Kelly Grace Boone, Michael Marino, Emma Marino, and Sophia Marino; great grandchildren, Parker, Stetson, and Gracin Wheat; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Michael attended Pueblo Catholic High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Colorado. He served as Master of South Pueblo Lodge #31. For health reasons he retired early from the Department of Corrections, where he was a Case Manager and SORT Team Member. His hobbies were reading, playing trumpet and saxophone, and most of all the love he had for building intricate, functioning train models and layouts. Michael fought a brave battle with MS for the last 28 years. May he now rest in peace. Viewing will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2019, at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at St. Pius Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Pikes Peak National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
