Mary Anne Jackson

Mary Anne (Crawford) Jackson June 10, 1932- November 14, 2020 Mary Anne was born in Trinidad, Colorado, to Garland and Maybelle (Pinkston) Crawford, who predeceased her, as did her sister, Dorothy Mayes, and brother, Chuck Crawford. The family lived in several places before settling in Pueblo. Mary Anne graduated from Central High School in 1950 and married Kenneth Jackson several months later. She is survived by her four children – Debi (Scott) Potts, Jeff (Bobbi) Jackson, Peggy (Dave, deceased) Chatfield and Amy (Eric) Schewe. She was Grandma to five grandchildren – Marc Potts, Jaimee Potts, Nicolas (Courtney) Caballero, Holly (David) Walker and Cody (Erin) Jackson – and Great-Grandma to Olivia Potts, Jackson Caballero, Harrison Caballero, Tripp Jackson and Demi Jackson. She was Step-Grandma to Stacy (BJ) Marshall, Tina Chatfield, Christopher (Lisa) Chatfield and Robin Hensen and their families. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Phyllis Crawford, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary Anne and Ken lived in Pueblo for the majority of their married lives and after residing in Illinois and Colorado Springs, Mary Anne moved back to Pueblo. (Ken died in 1986.) Mary Anne was a great “family manager” and mother and never let an opportunity to help her kids or others pass her by. She encouraged dance and music lessons, Scouts, Rainbows and sports and was known to throw a Christmas party for the Latin Club. She was a talented craftsperson and made clothes for her children and their Barbies. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and a faithful member of the United Methodist Church. When Mary Anne did work outside the home, she was a caregiver for children and disabled adults alike. Mary Anne will be remembered as a loving, selfless, sweet lady. She was loved by many, who will feel an empty space in their hearts with her gone.
