Maria "Connie" Ruiz of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away on May 27th, 2024. She was a passionate union advocate as a member of the UFCW local 7, and loved the Denver Broncos, music, movies, perusing local pawn shops and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Florencio Ruiz Jr. and her parents Inez and Felipe Esquibel. She is survived by her husband Florencio Ruiz Sr, Her siblings Louie Esquibel and Alexander Esquibel Sr. Her daughter Janet Ruiz-Bailey (John Bailey) and Alexandra M. Esquibel, Anna C. Esquibel (Robert Hall), and Alexander Esquibel Jr. (Heather Segura), all of which she considered to be her children. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Mariah Bailey, Alana Bailey, Koi Bailey, Maryna Bailey, Payton Hall, Kalani Segura, Malyki Hall, Adelyn Esquibel, Braelyn Esquibel, and A.J. Bailey; as well as her great, grandchildren, Lily and Corbin.
She will be remembered in a Rosary and Mass on Friday, May 31st 2024. Rosary is at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 AM. Services held at Christ the King Catholic Parish, 1708 Horseshoe Drive, 81001.
