Lucy Medina, 83, of Pueblo, born December 22, 1932, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, January 12, 2016. Reunited in heaven by her loving husband, Graziano “Guero” Medina; sons, Martin (survived by Christine) and Benjamin Medina; parents, Josephine and Pablo Villegas, six siblings and survived by one sister, Delores (Tomas) Valdivieza to cherish her memory. Survived by her children, Kathy (Gilbert) Leanos, Eleanor (Jesse) Flores, Florenzio (Carol) Medina, Margaret (Ismael) Lopez, Rosemary (Rudy) Molina, Mary Ann (Ramiro) Lopez, Ruben and his daughter Jennifer Medina, Lupe (Nick) Olguin, Robert and daughter Ashley Medina, and Carol (Robert) Sais. Lucy also leaves 35 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many extended family members that cherish her. We are grateful to Sangre de Cristo Hospice and her nurse Molly. Special thanks to her daughters Rosa and Mary Ann, granddaughter Juana Molina who gave her great loving care, special family, Concha & Toto Cornejo, and Gloria Cornejo for giving her weekly Holy Communion. Also thank you to all those who kept her company through her final days. Lucy enjoyed her family gatherings and cooking, especially her hot chicken mole and tamales. “We love you & you’re Always in Our Hearts”.
