Lloyd H. Gross, of Pueblo, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the ripe young age of 93. Lloyd was born June 9, 1924 in Pontiac Michigan, but moved to Pueblo in his 20’s after serving in the Navy as an aircraft mechanic during World War II where he met his lovely bride, Mary Jane Geanetta. Lloyd worked as a draftsman for CF&I Steel for close to 30 years and spent his retirement years doing what he loved most which included gardening and serving as an usher and eucharistic minister for Christ the King Church. Lloyd was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Mary Jane Geanetta Gross; his son David Gross; his grandson Mario Quartaroli and his son-in-law George Hochstadter. He is survived by his wife Joan Sharpe; his children Karen Hochstadter and grandchildren Frank Hochstadter, Sharon Hansen, her husband Ted Hansen and great grandchildren Noah and Oliver Hansen, Norma Parrie, her husband Jim Parrie and grandchild Andrea Parrie, and Christine Jeffries and grandchildren Myles and Lucas Jeffries; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A private Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Friday, March 23, 2018, in the George McCarthy Historical Chapel. Lloyd's Mass of the Resurrection will be held on May 1, 2018 with the time to be announced. Lloyd was loved by many and made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
