Leonard L. Morris, 95, passed away February 20, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Emma Morris; his wife, Lessie, 2006; his son, Leonard M “Butch” Morris; sister, Elizabeth Mayer; and brother, John T. Morris. Leonard is survived by his son, Robert M.( Margaret ) Morris; grandson, Robert S.(Lisa) Morris; great granddaughter, Arielle Morris; sister in-law, Irene Morris; special niece, Sharon Peak; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In 1965, Leonard became a licensed pilot. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad, and went on to work at the Pueblo Test Track driving trains. He was a member of the Elks B.P.O.E. #90. He and his late wife spent many winters as snow birds in Arizona and were members of the Jolly Sam’s Trailer Club. Leonard loved his broncos, was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved to tell stories, work on his cars, his home and at his church. He was a devoted Christian man who loved his Lord. Leonard was a member of Temple Baptist church and also liked to attend Rocky Mountain Baptist church. In lieu of food and flowers, family request donations may be made to the Temple Youth ministry in memory of Leonard. A Thank-you to Dr. James Sterjnholm, Home Instead and Sangre de Cristo Hospice.
