Harriet G. Leon

Harriet Galecki Leon, 93, born June 12, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Bruno and Mary Galecki, went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2015. Survived by her loving husband, Barney; children, William “Bill” (Penny) Leon and Mary Kathleen “Kathy” Leon; grandchildren, Heather Leon Ilges, Josh Leon, and Daniel Leon; seven great-grandchildren; five Galecki nieces and nephews; two Leon nephews. Preceded in death by parents and siblings. Harriet was an Army Nurses Corp Registered Nurse; she met her honey at Ft. Logan hospital after WWII. She was a longtime member of St. Pius X Church. Harriet dearly loved her husband and her family; she enjoyed painting and sewing, and loved animals. Her life had great meaning to her family and her community and her friends; her laughter, friendship, and kindness will be missed.
