Freddie Leroy Vigil 74, born on April 8, 1947 of Pueblo went to be with the lord on November 12, 2021. Preceded in death by his Mother Lydia "Lillie" Vigil, Brother Clarence Vigil, granddaughter Angelina Chavez, grandson Elric Franco. In-Laws; Louis and Andrieta Vigil, sister-in-law Nora Vigil. He is survived by his loving Wife of 55 1/2 years Joan Vigil whom he married on April 16, 1966. His Father Fred Vigil. Daughters; Dorothy (Chuck) DeHerrera, Yvonne Chavez. Siblings; Richard Vigil, Brenda (Pete) Gonzales, Adam (Julie) Vigil, sister in law Corrine Vigil, brother in law Louie Vigil. Grandchildren; Carlos DeHerrera, Angeliqua Chavez (Willie Medina), Amanda Chavez, Taniesha (Anthony) Vigil, Adrian Chavez, Eskzrealillawhna Chavez. Great grandchildren; Carlos, Isaiah, Delisia, Akaysha, Elijah, Jaiden, Syriah, Dayton, Christy, Jeremiah, Aniah, Dejanae, Xzayliawhna, Demarius, Aaliyah, and Briseis; numerous nephews, nieces, God-children, extended family and friends. Freddie was a kind and generous person with a heart of Gold. He would never hesitate to extend a helping hand to any of his family and friends. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, and role model to all who knew him. He was known for having a brilliant mind, he could fix anything and if not, he would rebuild it into something better. He loved spending time with his family, known for his famous beans on a Sunday afternoon or his juicy made to order hamburgers on the grill, he enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, camping, hunting, or just taking a nice ride around the reservoir with his wife Joan. He was an avid Bronco fan. His favorite color was purple and he took great pride of taking care of his yard. Freddie was a hardworking man. He worked in steel-iron fabrication for 56 years; first at Midwest Steel straight out of high school, and then later O'Neil Steel. He was such a dedicated hard worker that even after he retired he still did not enjoy time relaxing, he would always find something to work on. He touched so many people's lives. He will be forever loved and truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021. Viewing and Rosary to begin at 9:15 and services at 10am. Intermittent to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
