Frances Orlanda Valdez Pino-Robles went to our Lord May 2, 2011. She is preceded in death by her loving husband William “Wimpy” Robles; mother, Cirila Cortez; father, Felix Valdez; first husband, Joe Gilbert Pino; brothers, Johnny Cortez, and Bernard, Julian, and Porfi Valdez; sister, Nettie Garcia; son, Luke “Butch” Pino; daughter, Patricia Ann Pino-Chavez; and great-granddaughter, Jade Rae-ann. Survived by sister, Ersie Medina; daughters, Cassandra (Tom) Valdez, and Mayoline (Ernst) Louis; sons, David (Denise) and Dan (Laura) Pino; grandchildren, Michael (Kolene) and Shaun Valdez, Roseanne (George) Ayala, Selene (Patrick) Oehmke, David, Jr. (Shannon), Joseph (Jolene), Daniel (Deanna), Anthony (Beth), Caylee, and Adam (Danielle) Pino; Scott and Chad (Lola), and Diane Chavez; Patricia (Ray) Tyler; Celeste and Porter (Tonitra) Sims; Lisa and Christine Louis, along with twenty one great and three great-great-grandchildren. Frances was born in Gardner, CO March 11, 1930. She grew up in the Turkey Creek and Walsenburg area before moving to Pueblo. She was employed by Gus’ Place tavern for sixteen years as a waitress. She was a member of Saint Mary Church. She loved taking vacations and spoiling her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She provided a safe and loving home to help the family with day care needs. She had a special place in her heart for Irene, Diane, Shantel, Patricia, Celeste, Nathan, and Marc, who she helped raise and care for. She will be greatly missed. At her request, cremation with no services. The family will receive friends at the home of Cassandra Valdez. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation through the funeral home.
