Eva Ida Trujillo

Eva Ida Maestas De La Cruz Trujillo, 74, passed away unexpectedly October 25, 2022, at home. She was born August 3, 1948, in Mora, New Mexico, the daughter of Alfonso O. Maestas and Mary Andreita Maestas (Romero).

Eva graduated from Centennial High School and recently celebrated her 55th High School Reunion, Class of 1967. She was one of 12 siblings. Eva worked for the Pueblo Transit for 32 years as a city Bus Driver. She loved to crochet, fish with her grandchildren, and spend time with her family. Her family will always remember that she took time to serve and uplift others. Her legacy of kindness, compassion and love will continue to radiate through all of us for years to come.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Santos Delacruz Sr., late husband Herminio Filiberto Trujillo "Phil", daughter Maria Ana De La Cruz, numerous sisters and brothers of the Maestas Family. Eva is survived by her son Santos B. (Tammy) De La Cruz, daughters Ida May De La Cruz, MaryAnn (Ron) Atencio, Angelina (Eric) Martinez, all of Pueblo, CO. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister Emma Herman Esquibel of TX, brothers of Pueblo, CO and CA.

Visitation Tuesday, 4- 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home, 329 Goodnight Ave, Pueblo, CO

A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. Nov. 2nd at Majestic Baptist Church, 494 E. Hemlock Drive, Pueblo West, CO.

Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, CO 81005

Family will receive friends at Elks Lodge #90, at 426 N Santa Fe Ave, Pueblo, CO 81003, following Interment.
