Barbara Dorel Crosson passed away on May 21, 2023, at the age of 92. Barbara was born in Denver, Colorado, on February 5, 1931, to Adolph Lundquist and Dora Miller. After graduating from Pueblo’s Centennial High School in 1949, Barbara attended the University of Colorado, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1955.
While pursuing her nursing degree in Boulder, Barbara met David Lee Crosson, MD; they were married on July 3, 1954. They were married for 66 years until David passed away in November 2020.
David and Barbara had three children: Craig, Catherine, and Carolyn. In 1965, the family moved to Pueblo, where David began his medical practice and Barbara raised their three children. Barbara was an active member of Pueblo’s Ladies Auxiliary and Nursing Society. She received her pilot’s license in 1972 to pursue her love of travel. In addition to traveling, Barbara and David enjoyed spending time at their ranch Gunnison, Colorado, and at their Beach house in Oregon.
Barbara is survived by her three children Craig (Nancy) Crosson, Catherine Hietala, and Carolyn Haass; grandchildren Melissa (Matthew) Habrat, Brian (Kristen) Crosson, Jeffery Crosson, Eric (Michelle) Bredahl), Evan (Bonnie) Bredahl, Mark Hietala, Andrew (Jane) Haass, and Cara (Jeremy) Patoc; great-grandchildren Craig Habrat, Sterling and Holden Crosson, and Hannah, Evan, and Emily Haass.
Viewing and graveside ceremony will be held at 10 am and 11 am, respectively, on June 5, 2023, at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
