Anna Dazzio Santana, 93, left to rejoin her family on Monday, August 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Margaret Dazzio; brothers, Jack J. Dazzio, Anthony P. Dazzio, and Carl G. Dazzio. She is survived by her son, William Turner; grandson, Sam Turner; brother, Sam P. Dazzio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna was born on December 22, 1917 in Pueblo, Colorado to Sam and Margaret Dazzio. She was the oldest of five children. Anna went to Riverside Elementary School and then Centennial High School for one year before going to work at the Pueblo Army Depot. She was 20 years old when she had her only son, William. She retired in 1972 after 26 years at the Depot. Anna belonged to the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Pueblo Army Depot Ordinance and the YMCA. She was an avid dancer, dancing even with her walker when necessary.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anna's memory to Sangre De Christo Hospice through the funeral home. Funeral Service Thursday, September 1, 2011, 9:30 am at T.G.
