With a heavy heart, we announce the loss of our beloved mother, Angela M. Vigil. She passed quickly to the gates of Heaven as a result of kidney disease February 15, 2015. Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain as surely this “little grandma” was an angel. Angela was born November 27, 1921 in Gardner, Colorado to Manuel E. Martinez and Caroline C. Garcia. She took great pride in volunteering for the Pueblo County Foster Grandparents Program which provided educational support for struggling special needs students. She was an active member at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and treasurer for the Legion of Mary. Along with her husband, she performed and traveled throughout Colorado with the Mariachi De Pueblo. She was a woman of strong faith, a true giver, full of grace, sweet and kind. She was a great role model and her positive influence has made a lasting impact on her family and friends.
