Sylvester “Snooky” DiStefano, age 89, passed away April 28, 2022. Son of the late Nicholas and Loretta (Cambio) DiStefano; husband of the late Lea (Thiberge) DiStefano; and brother of Gloria Orlandi and the late Nellie Bianco, Jane Zannini, Nicholas and Robert DiStefano. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
Snooky and his brother, Nicholas, were co-owners of the North Providence Venetian Blind Company. He worked for the North Providence School Dept. for 18 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Lymansville VFW Post 10011.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd, Johnston. Graveside burial with military honors will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
