Riley, Ronald T., Sr, age 70 of Wellesley Ave, North Providence, passed away on July 29, 2012 at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Care of RI. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Greene) Riley. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Donald and Lillian (Caldwell) Riley. Before retirement, Mr. Riley was employed with National Grid, formerly Blackstone Valley Electric for many years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf. He was a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family. Besides his wife of over 47 years, he leaves his loving children, Ronald Riley, Jr. (Providence Police Dept.) and wife Maria of Smithfield, Michael Riley (Attleboro School Dept.) and wife Pamela of Attleboro and Christine Riley (Providence School Dept.) of Warwick. Grandfather of Brendan, Evan, Jordyn and Jamie Riley, brother of Donald Riley, Jr. of VA. He was also the brother of the late Joan George. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St., Providence. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm.
