Ronald L. Berard

Berard, Ronald L. (WPD RET.) age 76, passed away on January 4, 2011 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Harrison) Berard, and the late Marion (Allen) Berard. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Geoffrey and Diana(Charpentier) Berard. Before retirement , Mr. Berard was a Warwick Police Officer for over 35 years. He was a member of The Warwick F O P Lodge # 7, and a member of the East Greenwich Veterans Fireman's Assoc. He was also an avid bowler. Besides his wife of over 15 years, he leaves his children, Jo-Ann Gesterling, of Cranston, Barbara King of Warwick, Karen Migneault of CO and Kathleen Whitmarsh of Prudence Island. He was the brother of Norbert Berard (Ret. Lt WPD) of Wakefield. He was the brother of the late Lionel, Raymond, Roland, Paul and Ernest Berard. He was the grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 3. His funeral will be held on SATURDAY at 7:45amFrom The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., WARWICK, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave, Warwick. Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
