Robert J. Benetti, 81, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on March 8, 2020.
He was the beloved husband for 57 years of Hope M. (Charette) Benetti. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Domenick and Mary (Arduini) Benetti.
He was the loving father of Joseph M. Benetti, Denise M. Benetti and Susan J. Rocchio; grandfather of 11; great-grandfather of 9; brother of Eleanor Andrews and Gloria McElroy. He was the father of the late Robert D. Benetti and John F. Benetti, and brother of the late Albert, Richard and Alexander Benetti.
Robert served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as a machinist for Texas Instruments before retiring.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. with his funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Benetti Family for assistance in the funeral expenses.
