Born in Providence, Ray was the son of the late Michael and Celeste (Silva) Rapoza
Ray served his country proudly as a sailor in the Navy, during the Korean War. He was a Fine Gold Melter employed by Handy and Harman Refining Group of Attleboro, Massachusetts. Ray was also employed by the Providence Civic Center in security, a job that he enjoyed immensely.
Besides his dear wife, Ray is survived by his daughters, Janet M. Huot and her husband Thomas, Lori A. SanSouci and her husband Robert, his grandchildren Jillian M. Metz, Constance A. Lee, Robert F. SanSouci, Andrea R. SanSouci, and his great grandchildren Gianna SanSouci, Alexandria Kiernan, and Lily Metz.
Visitation Wednesday, 5 – 7 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. Funeral Thursday at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 am in St. Joseph’s Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
