JOHNSTON -- ROSE, Mary C., 76, of Orleans St., died Sunday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank Rose. She was born in Warwick, a daughter of the late Alexander F. and Augusta M. (Maile) McKenzie. Mrs. Rose worked at St. Elizabeth Home in Providence for 20 years before she retired in 1991. She is survived by her children Frank Rose, Jr. of Providence, Alexander F. Rose of Pawtucket, Mary M. Linden of West Warwick, Catherine P. Zito, and Donna L. Cipriano both of Johnston; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert A. Rose and Carol A. Rose and sister of the late Sidney, Frank, and John McKenzie, Lillian Curran, and Leona Rolny. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
