Mario Cioffi, 90, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility in Providence. He was the husband of the late Rose (Marandola) Cioffi. He served his country proudly with the United States Marine Corps from January 4, 1944- August 1, 1946 during World War II. Mario was a self-employed cabinet maker most of his life. He had a great sense of humor, was an avid collector and loved bicycles. Mr. Cioffi leaves a son, Mario A. Cioffi, of North Attleboro; a grandson, Dennis E. Flynn, of Providence; and six grandchildren, Kelsey, Deandra, Daniella, Aaron, Steven, and Daniel Flynn. He was the father of the late Donna Iacobucci and grandfather of the late Steven Flynn. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 10:15am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Graveside burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 5:00-9:00 pm. Flowers are welcome.
