WarwickJoseph A. "Al" Loiselle, Sr., 83, of Drum Rock Avenue, died Friday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Margaret A. (Thomas) Loiselle. They had been married for sixty-one years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur N. and Clarissa M. (Bishop) Loiselle, he lived in Warwick most of his life. Al was a salesman for the Ward Baking Company for thirty-one years, until 1979. He then worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Rhode Island Sheriffs Department for eleven years, retiring in 1991. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during WW II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre, Guam, and the Marianas Islands. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Exeter Country Club, the Kent County Sheriffs Association, and was a former manager of the Continental Little League, Warwick. Mr. Loiselle was a communicant and usher at Saint Clement Church, Warwick, for many years. Beside his wife Margaret, he leaves a son, Joseph A. Loiselle, Jr. and his wife Ginny, of Glocester; two daughters, Marjorie A. Kanaczet and her husband Edward, of North Kingstown, Gail M. Loiselle and her husband Jeff Early, of Narragansett; a brother, Kenneth Loiselle of North Providence; a sister, Joan Morissey of Rehoboth, MA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a brother of the late Arthur, Harold and Donald Loiselle, Rita Stockley, Mildred Cobb, Dorothy Cappello, and Carol Morgan. The funeral will be held Tuesday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday, 4 - 8 pm.
