Born in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Albert and Rosalma (Fredette) Angelo.
James was a Master Electrician for many years before retiring. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the USS Kearsage CVS33 where he was involved in the recovery of the Project Mercury space missions from 1962 - 1963. He was a Freemason and a member of the Al Menah Shriners Temple in Nashville, TN as well serving in their Horse Patrol unit. He spent the last 4 decades working diligently on the family tree going back several bloodlines out of a labor of love for his children. In his spare time, he loved puttering around, gardening, organizing camping trips for the family and watching the Red Sox.
He was the father of James Angelo, Jr. and his wife Laureen, Anthony Angelo, Gina Gervais and her husband Marc, Andrew Loftin and his wife Tonya and the late Lisa Proctor and Pamela Angelo; grandfather of 6, great grandfather of 9 and over 75 nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of Violet Lanoue, Loreen Kenney and the late Albert Angelo, Ronald Angelo, Wayne Angelo and Joan Tente.
A private scattering at sea with Military Honors will take place.
