Jairo Javier Betances

Born in the Dominican Republic he was the son of Regina De Los Santos and the late Lorenzo Betances.

Jairo worked as a stock associate for Walmart for many years. He was an extremely hard working family man and was an amazing basketball player throughout his youth. He enjoyed watching the Celtics and Philadelphia Eagles in his spare time. He will mostly be remembered as a loving partner, son and father.

In addition to his fiance and mother, he is survived by his beloved children Jaiden and Riley Betances, his siblings Molly Betances of West Warwick, Lorenzo Betances of Providence and Louis Betances of Providence. He also leaves his brother in law Jamen Mendes of Providence, mother in law Tedra Mendes of East Providence and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins in the US and Dominican Republic who he loved very much. Jairo was son in law of the late James Mendes. Jairo was loved and respected by so many people and will be missed deeply.

Visitation will be September 26, 2024 from 4:00-5:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence.
