Henry "Buddy" Read

Read, Henry Francis "Buddy", 81, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Dimsey) Read. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Rigney) Read. Buddy was employed as a Postal Clerk for 30 years before retiring in 1986. He was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict/War. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Benjamin, Carol St. Amant of Warwick; two granddaughters, Nicole and Lauren St. Amant of Warwick; a sister, Mary Beaulieu and her Husband Bill of Johnston; three brothers, Robert Read and his wife Carol of Cranston, and Fred Read and his wife Fran of West Greenwich. He was also the brother of the late Edward Read and his wife Ann. Father in law of Jack St. Amant. He was an uncle to Barbara Beaulieu of Johnston, David & Marissa Read of West Greenwich, Robert & Gail Read of Barrington, Fred & Maggie Read of West Greenwich, Karen & James Robinson, and Donna Read. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:30am from the RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 142 Centerville Road (Rt.117), Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in the Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Interment will follow in the Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours, Friday 4-8pm.
