Gilbert K. Milner, 87, of Modena Avenue, died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Saint Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. He was the loving husband of the late Mary “Sis” Milner. They were married for 63 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Edythe (Bowman) Milner.
Gil served our nation proudly during the Korean conflict in the United States Army. He later went on to work as a manager at First National Stores.
He leaves two sons, Donald and his wife Claire and Michael and his wife Margaret; a brother, Robert Milner, two grandchildren, Mary Hartley and her husband Michael and William Milner, and two great grandchildren, Da’Juan Hartley, and Braylon Hartley.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 27 at 8:45 from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 26 from 4 to 7 pm.
