Evelyn Marie Aurelio

Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Cosimo and Stella (Petrucci) Marra. She was the devoted mother of four sons, Dante J. D’Alessio and his wife Lori, David M. D’Alessio, Ronald Aurelio, Esq. and his wife Lori and David Aurelio; cherished grandmother of Dina D’Alessio, Christine Ducharme and her husband Shawn, Dante D’Alessio, Michael D’Alessio and Gina True; and adored sister of the late Michael Marra. She was also blessed with several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was a bookkeeper for many years before retiring. Her Catholic faith was very important to her either attending the weekly novena at St. Ann’s Church in Providence or watching mass on television in her later years. She enjoyed cooking and baking; there wasn’t a person who didn’t love her homemade meatballs and pizza.

She looked forward to her yearly winters in Puerto Rico spending time by the pool with her closest and dearest friends. She never turned down a quick trip to the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and was a true Red Sox fan. Her greatest joy of all was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who always put a smile on her face and a spring in her step. She truly loved and cherished spending time together with her family, especially dancing with her “babies” Tyler and Demi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 9:00-10:30 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM in Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be private.
