Narragansett, Rhode Island, passed away on September 6, 2022
at her home in Florida.
Born in Providence in the summer of 1946, Elaine was the
daughter of the late Richard P. and Evelyn (Prete) Sullivan and
granddaughter of the late Louis and Gina (Ricci) Prete.
Elaine graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from the University
of Rhode Island. She later went on to complete her nursing
degree to become a Registered Nurse. Prior to her move back
to Florida, she retired from Rhode Island Hospital where she
was a respiratory nurse in the RICU. Elaine was a school nurse
for the last 6 years in Florida.
She is survived by her beloved son Jayson G. Silva and his wife
Eileen of Auburn, Massachusetts, her grandchildren, Liam and
Ethan Silva and her former husband Kenneth C. Silva of New
York.
A service will be held on Saturday, November 19th, at 10 am in
the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St,
Providence. Private burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery,
Cranston, Rhode Island.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine’s memory to
St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN
38105.
