Donna E. Ciccone

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Wanda J. (Salvadore) Guertin.

Donna was the true matriarch of the family, from being a fiercely protective and loving mother to a gracious host for many family gatherings. While she enjoyed spending time planting flowers and crafting, her ultimate joy was being with family and friends. She expressed her love through her cooking. She welcomed everyone to her table, without exception, and ensured that you left her house with a full heart and full stomach (doggie bag in hand). She will be remembered dearly for her selflessness, smile, strength and endearing sense of humor.

She was the cherished mother of Justin Ciccone and Shannon Ciccone and her companion Richard Caron and dear sister of John Guertin, Jr. and the late Paul Guertin.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION WEDNESDAY 4-7 PM.
