Carol A. Pierce

Born in Providence. A daughter of the late Phillip A. and Emily (DeMarco) Meyer. Beloved mother of Nicole A. Jaycox and her husband Samuel with whom she resided, Tracy L. Lemaire, and David A. Pierce and his wife Emma. Cherished grandmother of, Travis and Madison. Sister of Phillip P. Meyer and his wife Susan.

Carol, a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and best friend, will be remembered for the warmth and kindness she brought to everyone around her. She lived most of her life in Providence, Rhode Island, on Vandewater Street, and took great pride in her work as a secretary at My Father’s Pub, later known as Ralph’s Bull & Claw Tavern. Carol loved working for her family and devoted herself to her role with unwavering dedication. She raised three children, who each followed their own unique paths, and cherished the time she spent with them and her grandchildren. She often felt blessed to be surrounded by such a loving family, rooted in the values passed down from her parents, Phil and Emily Meyer. As a mother, Carol made sure her children always felt supported, and her friendships from her youth onward remained a cherished part of her life. She had a special love for her cat, Bella, and treated all animals with the same love and care she shared with those around her. Carol was truly a light in many people’s lives.

Carol’s connection with her family was deep and unwavering. She adored her grandson Travis and granddaughter Madison, and her joy was spending time with her children, whether enjoying breakfast with her son David or going shopping with her daughters Nicole and Tracy. Her kindness was boundless, and her non-judgmental spirit, sense of humor, and infectious laughter brought joy to everyone she met. A fierce, beautiful, and strong woman, Carol welcomed her children’s spouses, Sam and Emma, with open arms and a loving heart. Her faith in Jesus was profound, and she radiated His love to everyone in her life. Carol leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and a heart of gold that will forever be treasured by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday starting at 10 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.

Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
