Brendan Robert Cassidy, 39, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at home with his lifetime partner, Joe Paquin by his side. He was born on July 14, 1981 in Burlington, NJ but resided in Warwick for most of his life. He is the beloved son of Robert and Christine Cassidy. He graduated Bishop Hendricken High School in 1999 and studied at Providence College.
Brendan was a philosopher at heart, ever ready and willing to engage in dynamic discussions about existence, ethics, logic and reason. He was an avid lover of music, deeply knowledgeable about genres from classical to electronic and always excited to share and discuss his latest musical discoveries. He was a voracious reader of books with an insatiable appetite for knowledge.
Brendan spent many years in the restaurant industry and had an outstanding work ethic, taking great pride in a job well done. He loved food and had a tremendous appetite for fine dining and good wine.
A devoted son, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend he liked nothing better than family gatherings and surrounding himself with the people that he loved and those that loved him. He especially enjoyed being an uncle to his nieces and nephew; Alexis, Caitlin and Cameron; and his faithful companion Caillou.
Brendan is survived by his common law husband, Joe Paquin of Warwick, his parents Robert and Christine Cassidy of Warwick; his sister and brother-in-law, Jaime Ann and Sean Comella, and their children, Alexis, Caitlin, and Cameron of Richmond, RI; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family has entrusted Boyle Funeral Home with the funeral arrangements. Due to COVID- 19, a remembrance and celebration of life event will be held in Brendan’s honor in July 2021.
