Anthony J. “Campy” Campanelli, 82, of North Providence, passed away Monday at the Greenville Nursing Center. He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Kelley) Campanelli for the past sixty-three years.
Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Antonio and Louise (Stapelton) Campanelli.
Campy was an engineer for the City of Providence for many years before retiring, and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Finnegan Council.
In addition to his wife Barbara, he leaves a daughter, Barbara M. Dexter, a son, Russell K. Campanelli, three loving grandchildren, David J. Dexter, Kristen L. Campanelli and Brian K. Campanelli, and a sister, Eunice Jeager.
Campy’s family would like to thank the staff of Greenville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation for the excellent care and wonderful compassion shown to him over the past two years, most especially the last several weeks. Thank you all.
