Robert Preston “Pete” Williams, 64, of Narrows, Virginia, passed away on December 16, 2017.
Born March 27, 1953 in Welch; he was the son of the late A.V. Preston Williams and the late Gertrude Massey Williams.
Robert was a member of the Brothers of the Wheel, Southern Highlands Chapter, he loved hunting, fishing, cooking, farming, but most of all spending time with his family.
Robert served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a coal miner having worked for more than 20 years in the mines. He was of the Non-Denominational faith, holding services in others homes delivering the Gospel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Cipriani.
Those left to cherish his memory include his fiancée Linda Karnes, of Narrows, VA; two sons, Robert Williams and wife, Karen of Statesville, NC and Kevin Williams and wife, Tammy of Princeton, WV; daughter, Shannon Williams of Bluefield, WV; siblings, Anita Cotton and husband, Dave Lafon of Michigan, Linda Phillips of Princeton, WV, Ava Sylvester and husband, John of Green Valley, WV, and Preston Cipriani and wife, Missy of Roderfield, WV; grandchildren, Kelsey Smith and husband, Dillon, Cadyn Williams, Courtney Perdue and husband, Patrick, and Chandler Bishop; great grandson, Dawson Smith; his fiancée’s daughters, Misty Hill and husband, Tom Ferguson, Christie Hurt and husband, Eric, Wendy Browning and husband, Greg, Mindy Meadows and husband, John, Cindy Hill; grandchildren, Christian Hurt, Nicholas Browning, Madison Browning, Alex Baca, Johnathan Meadows, Adeline Meadows.
Services to celebrate the life of Robert Preston Williams, will be held 2:30PM Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home, 450 Courthouse Road Princeton with Jared Snyder officiating. Following the services Robert will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.
Friends may gather with the family from 11:00AM until time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
