Paul Hallman, 75, of Millbrook, Alabama, formally of Autaugaville, Alabama, passed away November 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thurman Hallman and Vivian Stanford Hallman and brother, William Stanford Hallman. He is survived by his children, Scotty Hallman (Lori) of Colorado Springs, CO, Holly Lynn Hallman of Millbrook, Alabama and Misty Hallman Butler of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; grandchildren, Blake Hallman, Hunter Hallman, and Tanner Sheffield and a special son in law, Van Butler. Mr. Hallman is also survived by his sisters, Jane McGill (Kevin) of Chula Vista, CA and Patricia Wheat (Johnny) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Mr. Hallman was born in Talladega, Alabama and raised in Autaugaville, Alabama. He graduated from Hicks Memorial High school in 1964 and from Auburn University in 1968 with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science. He was an Alpha Gama Rho. He was also a farmer for many years. After he stopped farming he went to work for GE Plastics and Pfizer and Specialty Minerals as a maintenance supervisor. He later started and ran The Flooring Center in Millbrook, Ala after his retirement. He worked hard his entire life. His hobbies included deer hunting, hiking in the mountains, watching Auburn football and stamp and coin collecting in his later life. He really enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren most of all. He was a simple, humble man who loved to laugh, he had a very dry sense of humor. He was a very smart man, a math whiz and a practical man. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Services for Mr. Hallman will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 2 PM at Ridouts Prattville chapel with the visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Autaugaville, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Stan Hallman, Tony Hallman, Van Butler, Tanner Sheffield and Johnny Wheat.
