Martha “Mot” Wallace, 75, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away January 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Jessie Lane; grandchild, Mariah Wallace; brother, Danny Lane and in laws, Arthur and Mary Wallace. She is survived by her husband, Arthur “Steve” Wallace, Jr.; children, Tina Johnson (Keith) and Stephanie Joiner (Kevin); grandchildren, Brittany Nichols, Jayme Johnson, Michael Joiner, Rece Joiner; great grandchildren, Cooper, Lane, Mary Jessie and Harley Rose.
Martha loved the Lord, her husband, children, grandchildren and family. She enjoyed traveling, watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. Martha was an active church member at Trinity United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was instrumental in starting the Puppet Ministry. The 4’10” “Mot” drove a school bus, worked in the elementary school lunchroom and first and foremost was a very proud School Patrol Lady. Most important of all to Martha was being a Mom to children, grandma to her grandchildren, great grandma to great grandchildren, wife, sister and friend.
A funeral service for Martha will be Friday, February 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with the visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Keith Johnson, Kevin Joiner, Michael Joiner, Rece Joiner, Larry Ridgeway, Vann Goodman. Honorary Pallbearers are Cooper Lane Mullins and Bryan Thomas.
