Lester Smith Hill, Jr. 87, of Prattville, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017. Visitation will be held from Tuesday April 25th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday April 26th at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Pastor Stan Holt officiating. Burial will follow in the New Live Oak Cemetery 110 West Dallas Avenue, Selma, Alabama 36701.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Doris Elizabeth Hill and a son James Michael O’Dell. He is survived by wife Mary Hill; four daughters, Kay Nelson, Cathie (Jacky) Leverette, Marcie Hill, Esther LaDonna (Jeremy) Brooks; a sister Bobbie (Stan) Bailey; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Chason Smitherman, Bryan Nelson, B.J. Leverette, Randy Ashcraft, Steven Smith, Jr. and Journey O’Donnell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Brooks, Jacky Leverette and Landon Bertarelli.
Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Area Humane Shelter in memory of Mr. Hill and on behalf of “Susie”, his loving Chihuahua and companion.
