John K Young

Mr. John K. Young, age 58 of Parishville, NY passed away on December 3, 2024 at the IRA Home in the village of Rensselaer Falls, NY. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 10th from 1pm until 1:30. There will be a memorial service at 1:30 at the funeral home with Rev. Lee Sweeney celebrant. Graveside services and burial will follow at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Parishville, NY. There will be a luncheon at 49 Chapel Hill Rd. in Parishville at Tim and Carmela Young’s house following the burial. John is survived by his parents Wayne and Carol Young of Parishville, Douglas Young of Canton, Timothy (Carmela) Young, William (Patti) Young, Thomas Young and Edward Young of Parishville; sister Jennifer (Heath) Wilby of Norfolk and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

John K. Young was born on December 26, 1965 in Potsdam, NY to Wayne and Carol Bovay Young. John really loved walking around and talking to people. He really enjoyed Christmas and Halloween. His biggest love though was his joy of watching professional wrestling. He had several characters of his favorite wrestlers. He couldn’t wait to watch Monday Night Raw every week. John also loved to compete in the Special Olympics and won several medals over the years of which he was very proud of.

John’s family would like to give a special thank you to the Kendrew House and the IRA House for their warm and loving care over the years.
