William (Bill) John Brewer, a retiree from Buick Motor Division of General Motors, died unexpectedly on January 16, 2020 at the age of 91 at his residence in Beaverton, Oregon.
Bill is survived by his daughters: Kathleen, Judith & Pamela & Curtis “son-in-law”) and 4 grand-children, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Bill was born in Flint, Michigan on June 23, 1928 to William J. & Elizabeth Brewer. On November 26, 1949 he married Mary Frances Faley his high school sweetheart. Mary passed on April 21, 2010.
Bill was a devoted father & companion. Bill loved to golf, sail, skiing and any activities associated with water. His favorite love was his sailboat “Windsong”. Bill and Mary had many adventures between the Virgin Islands and San Francisco Bay.
For the past 10 years he was the companion to Janijo Weidner of North Plains, Oregon. They enjoyed many cruises together including Alaska, Panama Canal and the Caribbean. They also enjoyed going to theater, dancing and sharing good food. They frequented the Sunset Presbyterian Church and he participated in his ‘Higher-Grounds Coffee Club’ and his men’s fellowship club.
